AI in software development

Ship faster with AI. Raise the bar on quality.

I help software teams integrate AI into development and product in ways that create measurable progress: shorter development cycles, more reliable software, and solutions that reach customers faster.

From rolling AI out across development teams to building production AI and ML solutions, I combine strategic clarity with hands-on engineering. And when conventional software is the better answer, the AI stays out of it.

Putting AI to work in software development and product.

01

Introduce and scale AI across software development

Rolling out individual tools is easy. Building a way of working that makes an entire development team more productive is far more demanding.

I guide software organizations from first pilot projects to introducing AI across entire development departments. Together we establish sensible tools, workflows, and guardrails for data protection, code quality, and accountability — with the goal of durably accelerating development processes.

02

Build AI and ML features for your software product

AI shouldn't exist alongside your product — it should take on concrete tasks within it and create measurable value.

I build production AI and ML solutions — from predictive analytics and machine learning to AI agents. I guide the entire path from feasibility and architecture through development and evaluation to integration and operation within your existing software landscape.

Assess your AI use case
03

Improve testing, CI/CD, and software delivery

When manual tests and fragile pipelines slow releases down, time-to-market grows and every deployment becomes unnecessarily risky.

I build test strategies, automate end-to-end tests, and optimize CI/CD processes. The goal: fast feedback for developers, reliable releases, and quality assurance that scales with your team's pace.

About

AI expertise meets pragmatic software engineering

I help software companies integrate AI meaningfully into their development processes and products. I combine years of experience in software engineering, test automation, and DevOps with hands-on experience rolling out AI in development teams and building production AI and ML solutions.

AI isn't a goal in itself for me, and neither is the next proof of concept. Before AI gets used, I always check first whether a problem can be solved more robustly, more cheaply, or more efficiently with conventional software. That way we avoid unnecessary token costs and put AI resources to work exactly where they create real value.

What matters is what actually works in day-to-day development and in the product: clear use cases, technically sound solutions, and short feedback cycles.

As an external expert with years of engineering experience, I bring an independent perspective — but I work where implementation happens: together with your developers, within your existing processes, and until the solution runs in production.

A clear test-automation plan in just 24 days – expectations exceeded

MPS is a leading provider of chemotherapy management software in the DACH region. Time savings and error reduction in complex chemotherapies are the strongest reasons for using it. In addition, our product Chemocompile offers a uniquely large number of interfaces to third-party systems in hospitals, pharmacies, medical care centres (MVZ) and cancer registries. This diversity poses major challenges for automated testing — not least given the strict regulatory requirements for medical software, including the European Medical Device Regulation (MDR) and the IEC 62304 standard.

Thanks to the collaboration with weaverbytes and Christopher Weber's outstanding commitment, only a few weeks after commissioning we are already in the middle of implementing the new test strategy and test plans. It is a pleasure to work with Mr Weber. His deep, solid experience with test environments, test processes, test methods and test standards through to certifications made every conversation — and especially the results he worked out in detail and at impressively high speed — a gain for us. The documents on the strategy and implementation of automated tests, including practical recommendations for our test environment, turned out outstandingly well even by our very high standards.

The arrangements for commissioning and fine-tuning were very clear and fast. Mr Weber convinced us both with the immediately actionable, high-quality strategy and infrastructure documents and, on the way there, impressed us in all analytical and fact-finding conversations with his very pleasant, reliable way of working and his great expertise.

Beyond improvements to test automation and test infrastructure, Mr Weber contributed substantially to prioritising our end-to-end tests and developing our quality assurance sustainably. The result is markedly more efficient quality assurance with less manual test effort and even greater confidence in future releases.

My strong recommendation for working with weaverbytes. Test-automation planning worked out to such a high standard and so quickly, and immediately actionable, has moved us a big step forward.

From test automation to an ML prediction service — solutions that work in daily practice

QRaGo develops a cloud-based SaaS platform for the digital dispatching of patient transports. Working with weaverbytes, we first automated our end-to-end tests, making important parts of our quality assurance more efficient and reliable.

Building on this successful collaboration, we subsequently commissioned Christopher Weber to develop a machine-learning-based prediction service. This produced production-ready prediction models that support our dispatching and reduce manual follow-up work. What convinced us most were the technical depth, the pragmatic execution, and the reliable collaboration.

We very much enjoy working with weaverbytes and can clearly recommend Christopher Weber for demanding software, test-automation, and machine-learning projects.
